Before an office chair reaches the market, it must endure a true test of reliability. Bending, loading, rotation, abrasion, climate simulation, chemical analysis—at JE Furniture, we use advanced testing systems to simulate years of use, define performance through data, and safeguard quality with uncompromising standards.

JE Furniture Testing Center is the final checkpoint that every product must pass before reaching global customers.
CNAS-Accredited Testing Center with Global Recognition
JE Furniture Testing Center is one of Guangdong Province’s leading professional laboratories dedicated to office furniture testing. Designed and built by the internationally renowned workplace design firm M Moser Associates, the center is developed in alignment with top-tier international laboratory standards.

The laboratory is accredited by CNAS (China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment) and operates under a complete management system compliant with ISO/IEC 17025. With ILAC-MRA international mutual recognition qualifications, JE’s testing capability and reports are recognized worldwide.

Equipped with 200+ high-precision testing instruments, the center provides 300+ test capabilities and processes over 10,000 samples annually—covering everything from raw materials to finished products, from safety performance to ergonomic comfort.
Five Core Quality Control Modules for Office Chair Testing
To ensure consistent product reliability, JE Furniture has established five major quality control modules:
Mechanical Performance Testing
Physicochemical Analysis
Hazardous Substance Testing
Structural Strength Testing
Ergonomics Research
These testing capabilities support compliance with major global standards, including ANSI/BIFMA (USA), BS EN (Europe), JIS (Japan), and QB (China). Every test is carried out with rigorous methodology, scientific precision, and strict quality management.

Raw Material Testing: Quality Begins at the Source
High-quality office seating starts with verified materials. JE Furniture conducts strict testing on key raw materials, including:
Foam hardness, resilience and deformation resistance
Mesh elasticity, abrasion resistance and color fastness
Metal component corrosion resistance and durability

The Testing Center can also simulate extreme environmental conditions, such as Nordic cold climates and Southeast Asian heat and humidity. This allows JE Furniture to predict aging trends in advance and eliminate potential risks before production begins.
Structural Safety Testing: Strong Support for Every Sit
Safety is a fundamental requirement for office seating. JE Furniture performs precise strength and stability tests on critical load-bearing parts such as chair backs, armrests, bases and frames.

Through load capacity testing and anti-tipping validation, the Testing Center helps prevent risks such as loosening, deformation or structural failure—ensuring that every sit is secure and dependable.
Durability Testing: Simulating Years of Use
Durability is one of the most important factors in office chair performance. JE Furniture Testing Center uses standardized fatigue testing equipment to simulate long-term usage under extreme conditions.

Key durability tests include:
300,000 backrest cycles, equivalent to nearly ten years of high-frequency use
100,000 caster rolling cycles, validating wear resistance and load performance
From comprehensive fatigue testing to packaging and transportation simulation, JE ensures products remain reliable across everyday use and long-distance logistics.
Environmental & Chemical Testing: Supporting Healthier Workspaces
Modern office furniture must meet global environmental standards. JE Furniture operates a dedicated TVOC testing laboratory equipped with a professional 1m³ VOC emission chamber, designed to replicate real workplace conditions. After products are placed inside the chamber for 24 hours, emissions such as formaldehyde and other volatile organic compounds are analyzed using a Thermo Fisher UV-Vis spectrophotometer, ensuring compliance with international environmental requirements.

By combining advanced equipment with strict process control, JE Furniture helps create healthier and safer workplace environments.
Ergonomics Testing: Comfort Optimized by Data
Comfort is not only about softness—it is about ergonomic performance backed by scientific evidence. JE Furniture uses seat pressure distribution testing systems to capture real-time pressure mapping across seating surfaces.

These data reports allow engineers to optimize chair support structures, improve fit and enhance long-term sitting comfort. JE Furniture aims to balance durability and safety with a superior ergonomic sitting experience, helping reduce fatigue during extended use.
Committed to Higher Standards in Office Furniture Quality
JE Furniture has always held itself to standards beyond basic compliance. With long-term investment in testing technology and quality management systems, we continue driving product upgrades through innovation and precision.

JE Furniture will keep strengthening its quality control capabilities, ensuring every product delivered is safer, healthier and more comfortable—and contributing to higher standards across the global office furniture industry.
